Budweiser Reveals Their Beer Ingredients In Response to Petition

In response to an online petition, Anheuser-Busch has broken with tradition and, for the first time, revealed the ingredients list for both Budweiser and Bud Light. Bet you anything it’s Clydesdale urine.

Dammit, it’s not Clydesdale urine (as far as we know). Apparently, the ingredients are the same for both products: water, barley malt, rice, yeast, hops. Basically, the same generic combination of shit in most beers.*

The announcement came in response to a petition started by Vani Hari at FoodBabe.com — the same blogger who got Subway to remove a material used in yoga mat construction from their bread (so now the sandwiches just taste like yoga mats rather than actually being made out of them). The most recent petition has also requested the same information from MillerCoors for their own ~~sporting arena urinal trough runoff~~ fine alcoholic beverages, but as yet the company hasn’t seen fit to respond. Anheuser-Busch has also invited Hari to visit their brewery in St. Louis and see how beers are made. Of course, that would mean going to St. Louis, and the only reason to do that is if you’re in desperate need of meth.

So…Anheuser-Busch hasn’t revealed all that much, but at least they’ve done it quickly and cheerfully.

*For the sake of avoiding confusion, we’re going to refer to Bud and Bud Light as “beer” here even though they share more in common with old dishwater than beer.

Update: MillerCoors has also released their ingredients list, and it’s the same except with corn swapped for rice.
