There's an Amazing Tumblr Making Fun of Terrible Pictures of Food

“Is this a still from an autopsy demonstration video on VHS or breakfast? We will never know.”

That’s the caption attached to the above image on a Tumblr called SomeoneAteThis, which might be my new favorite thing on the internet. Basically, it’s run by “two friends just trying to make each other laugh” who mercilessly mock extremely unappetizing pictures of food. It’s unclear whether they set up the plates themselves, or find them on the internet, or just take user submissions (although there are a few examples of the latter). What is clear, however, is that they accomplish in a sentence what it takes me 2000-word posts to pull off. I bow to them, because I wish I was this funny.

When I got to the entry tagged “herrrk glork” I was literally laughing so hard that I thought I was going to pass out and my girlfriend asked me what the hell was wrong with me. I haven’t laughed this hard in months. If you like it when I make fun of weird food, you are going to love the hell out of this Tumblr.
